Located in the heart of Taipei 's Xin Yi district stands a skyscraper looming above thick clouds hovering over Taipei city. Taipei 101 Tower Building, officially declared as the tallest building in the world, now holds three of the four official World's Tallest Building titles designated by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).

Designed by Master Architect C.Y. Lee, this 508-meter skyscraper combines classic oriental culture and local Taiwanese features. Its glass curtain wall with double glazed heat reduction clear glass observatory allows viewers to enjoy a bird's eye-view of the entire Taipei . The express elevator, also affirmed as the fastest in the world, takes only 43 seconds to reach the 89th floor. Like New York 's Empire State Building and Paris 's Eiffel Tower , Taipei 101 Tower Building is now the most certain attraction to visitors when visiting the cosmopolitan city of Taipei .

Completed in 1740 (Chianlung 5th year in the Ching Dynasty), Lungshan Temple is a famous temple in Taiwan . It is for worshiping Goddess of Mercy (Guanshiyin Budda) and other deities. The doors, beams, and poles are beautifully decorated and carved. There is a pair of bronze dragon poles in the front hall, four pairs of dragon poles in the middle hall. The sculptures are delicate. There are also exquisite wood sculptures. The temple has many Chinese poems, verses and lyrics on signs, adding a touch of literature to the religious and sightseeing value.

Lungshan Temple is not only a temple, a sightseeing attraction, but also a historical legacy site. Lamp fairs and temple activities are held on festivals. On the 1st and the 15th of each month on the Chinese lunar calendar, the temple attracts many visitors for worship ceremony. There are antique shops, Buddhists article shops, and Chinese medicine shops near the temple. These places are great to visit due to their richness in folk culture.

Located near the Lungshan Temple , Hwasi Street Night Market is one of the favorite tour sites in Taipei and is famous for a variety of local food delicacies. Foot and body massage shops also dot the street. Snake shops that display snake fights and snake food processing are very popular in the Night Market, attracting attentions of tourists and locals alike. However, snakes of endangered species are not sold here. Food peddler stands and shops along the street offer special sales pretty often, making the night market a place full of promotional events and ¡¨bargaining¡¨ which attract even more people to join.
